Ing3dients, the world’s first 3D interactive sensory dining experience, held at Glasgow’s Ubiquitous Chip restaurant in March, has been nominated for five cultural awards.
Combining the talents of Scottish artist, and long time friend of the Chip, Alasdair Gray and digital artist, Debs Norton, Ingr3dients saw diners interact with a host of art installations and witness the unveiling of Alasdair Gray’s first digital mural.
Ingr3dients has been nominated for two categories in the Scottish Event Awards for best cultural event and best experiential event. The Arts and Business Awards have shortlisted Ingr3dients in the cultural branding partnership category and in the UK event awards, the event has been shortlisted in the best cultural event category and for the best use of technology.
Ingr3dients was part of the restaurant’s 40 year celebrations and was a joint project between the Ubiquitous Chip and UZ Events, with support from Black Bottle whisky.
Colin Clydesdale, proprietor of the ‘Chip said, “Ing3dients was all about exploring how food and art come together. It was an interesting event and we are pleased others have recognised this as well. We are against some big names and are proud to be representing Glasgow and Scottish restaurants. ”
